morning. shots fired on the du campus. two men tried to rob someone a black away from law school. jason gruenauer is on campus this morning and two days, two crime alerts for students there. >> yeah, yesterday we're here on campus talking about a suspect wanted in connection with graffiti with a violent pass. then overnight this attempted armed robbery at as berry and york, school and du center for gifted children according to du campus safety, around 11:002 men tried to rob somebody here on the corner and one shot was fired into the ground here. no one was hit or injured but two suspects are still out there on the loose. you can see the several patrol cars and crime scene tape here on this corner of campus. an hour after around midnight, du campus safety put out an owl

amanda is live at the rocky mountain academy of evergreen. good morning, amanda. >> good morning, we're here in the staff parking lot this morning where six spots are empty after that group firing. we actually took a look at the school's westbound side and found one seventh and eighth grade teacher listed. two deans and a middle school music teacher were this. two of them were escorted off grounds yesterday by the jefferson county sheriff's office. i just got off the phone with a parent who says this stems from what she calls conflicts between faculty members and executive director here. i did reach out to the executive director and i'm hoping to speak with her and get a comment later in the morning. this is why parents are outraged. they're saying these terminations were made without a plan in place.

without the six faculty members present. we're following details as this continues still trying to reach out to the executive director here and speak with more parents about what's going on. i'm amanda de castillo, denver7 news. three people escape from a lafayette home after a fire broke out late last night. the boulder county sheriff's office says the fire happened in an upstairs bedroom in the northern part of tow two dogs and a cat were also able to escape. parents are talking about this. a colorado youth soccer club sent out an email about a man who exposed himself to a group of middle school runners. he allegedly try to lure the kids iito an suv. this email says the police report was filed in golden. we have reached out to the golden police department and waiting to hear back from them.

the suspect's description in both cases is the same. he's a hispanic man between 30 and 40 with a chunky build. call crime stopper ifs you know anything. a denver police officer accused of maneuvering his loaded hand gun so it pointed at two colleagues. now he is facing a judge and is expected in court on november 9th. released yesterday. he will be working a desk job while this investigation unfolds. turns out the department of regulatory agency investigating 77 cases of fraud. convicted criminals have paid moreethan $33 million in damages. more than half the victims over the age of 60. denver is ranked in the national top ten list.

sprint with a dangerous encounter on the du campus. one person was confronted by a pair of criminals last night. jason gruenauer is on campus near york and as berry. >> two suspects still on the loose in front of this apartment complex. only about a block away from the du law school as well as the center for children here on the campus. it happened around 11:00 last night and the one shot ground. that according to a tweet from du campus safety, originally when this happened, they put out an alert asking people to stay indures then about an hour later, the all clear was given saying there's no longer a threat to people here around campus but the two suspects described as black males around 5 -foot 8 inches tall are still on the loose. denver police still investigating but at this point

the coolest day of the week today and skies clearing this morning. beautiful sunrise here from our mile high camera looking east. mix of sun and clouds out east and bright here within the next 15-20 minutes. denver today around du a high of 59. congress park at 58 and montclair around 60. chilly and upper 50s tomorrow and a few degrees warmer. low 60s on thursday. look at friday through monday, highs in the 70s. still cleaning up a crash here in the gore point splitting the ramp from southbound i-25 and cleaning it up. we have on the map slow traffic in the area up there on the southbound side also i-76 has been slow. 120th and sable, there's a crash there and also some very slow traffic on northbound central park trying to get to i- 70 with the traffic lights not working.
